Why T-Diag

Everything your shop needs to work on a Tesla

Built for independent Tesla technicians who need real diagnostic access — not a stripped-down simulation.

Real diagnostics, one click away

Connect straight to Tesla's official diagnostic platform for the vehicle in front of you — no separate login, no shared password to remember.

Instant VIN decoding

Model, year, drivetrain, and battery details from any VIN — plus open NHTSA recalls for that model and year.

A live view of every vehicle

Every VIN your shop has connected to, its certificate status, and who last worked on it — logged automatically.

Certificate restoration

Submit a restoration request with the customer and vehicle details — handled securely, encrypted at rest.

Verified accounts only

Every signup is verified over Telegram before it's ever activated, and access can be time-limited per employee.

Activated in minutes

Pick a plan, and we're notified instantly — most accounts are activated within minutes, not days.

Getting connected

How it works

Setup depends on your plan — an unlimited plan authenticates automatically, a per-VIN plan needs the diagnostic port unlocked first.

Unlimited plans

Any vehicle, anytime

  1. Open toolbox.tesla.com — you're authenticated automatically through your T-Diag account.
  2. You'll need a Windows computer with the Toolbox Proxy application installed — message us on Telegram and we'll send it over.
  3. Plug in and connect — no extra setup per vehicle.

Per-vehicle plans

Limited to specific VINs

  1. Unlock the diagnostic port: remove the instrument cluster and connect a Fakra cable in its place.
  2. Set your computer's IP address to 192.168.90.101.
  3. Keep the key fob nearby.
  4. Connect to the vehicle.
For routines that send CAN commands
  1. Reconnect to the diagnostic port under the center screen.
  2. Set your computer's IP address to 192.168.90.125.
Not sure how to set your computer's IP address? That's normal — message us on Telegram and we'll walk you through the whole configuration.
